What would have happened if Jesus decide not to?

go through with his self sacrafication. I understand that God gave Jesus, like all mankind, free will & that he was a willing sacrafice to die for all our sins..but what would have happened if at the last second he was like ummm you kow what I think I'd rather not be the savior, I think I want to be like every other joe shmoe?
