Hello everyone in the Seniors section! I have a question...?

for all of you about your high school proms. How were they back when you were in high school? I notice that for many kids these days they have to have it all - from the perfect dress, made to order - to a big limousine to show up in. They spare no expense it seems ( or the parents expense). Did you have all that, or were you happy to have just a pretty dress and to show up in your boyfriend's old car (or maybe if you were really fortunate, he could borrow dad's car for the evening!) Tell me your stories, and how it was for you then. I referenced this from the girl's standpoint, but I'd like it from the guy's standpoint as well.
